Jaipur: According to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan has a 90% health insurance coverage rate, compared to a national average of 41%. He credited the achievement to programs like the Chiranjeevi Bima Yojana. He said after flagging off 167 new “108-emergency ambulances” from here that the state government has also made medical operations like kidney and knee replacements free of charge at its hospitals, which has been a relief to the people.

According to Gehlot, Rajasthan has a 90 percent health insurance coverage rate, compared to 15.9% in Uttar Pradesh, 22.4% in Maharashtra, and 44.3% in Gujarat, which is below the national average of 41%.

“Rajasthan is rising to the top of the nation regarding health care services. The programs that we have discussed here are being discussed around the nation. I think that other states, as well as the federal government, would have to undertake (similar programs), “the chief minister informed the media.

Gehlot claimed that the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme of the state government, which offers a Rs 10-lakh cover, had brought relief to the populace.

He stated that while the BJP spreads hatred, Congressman Rahul Gandhi has advocated promoting love and eradicating hatred.
